Who Owns what percentage in Kochi IPL team?

Posted by admin on 12th, 2010

Controversies always arise when it is related to Kerala. The ownership of the Kochi IPL team was the latest controversy with reports that 25% stake was sold and also reports that Modi wanted videocon and Adani group to be part of the consortium and so on.

Now officially Kochi IPL team has came into existense and there is a break up on who owns what percentage in the Kochi IPL team. Interestingly Vivek Venugopal (Elite group, Medimix) owns only 1% stake.

The full break of shareholders of the Kerala Team

  • Rendezvous 25% free
  • Rendezvous 1%,
  • Anchor 27%,
  • Parinee 26%,
  • Film waves combine 12%,
  • Anand Shyam 8%,
  • Vivek venugopal 1%

“Rendezvous free equity – held by kisan,shailender & pushpa gaikwad,Sunanda pushkar,Puja gulathi,jayant kotalwar,vishnu prasad,sundip agarwal ” – Lalit K Modi Twitter

There was reports that shashi tharoor owns a stake in the Kochi IPL team which he had denied and as expected in the break up his name is not there. The interesting fact is that Sunanda Pushkar who owns about 18% free stake in the Kochi team is believed to be dating Shashi Tharoor ( read shashi tharoor to marry sunanda). So finally does that mean Mr Shashi tharoor owns stake in kochi Ipl team?

Tata nano’s are on Fire! – How safe is a tata nano car?

Posted by admin on 7th, 2010

Tata Nano’s were on FIRE when the booking started and when they are out in the market, they are actually on FIRE. Two Tata Nano cars were caught in fire in the past two months. The first Tata Nano Fire was reported in Mumbai where software engineer Satish and his wife had a narrow escape in March 2010 and the second Tata Nano fiire  happened in Vadodara in April 2010.

Tata Motors attributed those to a faulty electrical switch and said it had changed suppliers and done additional tests to rule out a recall or redesign. The four-seater nano can travel up to 105 kph and gets 23.6 kilometers per liter. The Nano does not have air bags or antilock brakes – neither of which is required in India .

Incidents like this would tarnish the nano brand as people would be more and more concerned about buying the car. Some of the initial fears was that Nano is a light card and it would topple if accelerated to high speeds, less safety for passengers in case of an accident etc. But how safe is a nano? Time will tell!

Currently its not clear as to who will be cheering for Kochi IPL team and bringing in that glamor quotient, or whether all three will endorse Kochi team, as all three have some “Malayalee connection”.

Kolkata Knight riders starts ipl 2010 with a win over Deccan Chargers

Posted by admin on 12th, 2010

Coincidence as i may call..i was so a die hard KKR fan in the first season and second season i had to keep off. Third season im back and glad to see Kolkata Knight riders repeat the first season, a win over Deccan chargers in the inaugural match.

KKR batted first and made a disastrous start by losing two wickets in the very first over, but they went on to make 161/4 with a brilliant batting performance by Owais shah(58) and Angelo Mathews(65).

DC started off well with Gilchrist with his class topped by luck. Soon after things changed. Good bowling changes by Ganguly made sure they got wickets at regular intervals. Great start to IPL 2010.
Full scorecard of KKR vs DC match

Good job Kolkata Knight Riders
