Posted by admin on 24th, 2009

Getting the birthday of your orkut friends to show in google calender is fairly simple. Just login to orkut and in the front page you will see the upcoming birthdays. Under upcoming birthday you will see a message which reads

“ view your friends’ birthdays in Google Calendar

click on that and google calender will open in a new window. The new window will have a popup window asking whether you like to add your orkut friends birthday to google calender and you are done.

Removing websites from Most Visited Pages in Chrome

Posted by admin on 4th, 2008

Chrome is very good and rich in features as far as im concerned except it dosent have plugins. I browse so many websites and one problem i came across is that the ones i visit quite often, Chrome shows thumbnail of it in the most visited page or when you open chrome. I really dont want some websites to appear in those list.

Chrome does not let you delete or remove one website from the most visited page instead you should clear the entire browsing history to remove the websites from most visited page.

Clearing the Browsing Data in Chrome

  • Click the drop down next to Tool button on the right side of the chrome
  • Select Clear Browsing data

  • A new pop up window will come. Tick the Clear browsing history options and click on the clear browsing history button

  • You can clear Data for the last day or choose to delete entire data or last weeks data.
I hope there comes out a way to remove a single website from the most viewed websites page in chrome

Two Quick Tips to play with Karma for Plurk Users

Posted by admin on 10th, 2008

I have been pretty much addicted to plurk. So here are some “lame” tricks that you can try out in plurk.

Increase your Karma in Plurk

See my Karma to believe :D. You want such huge Karma in Plurk? There you go here is the javascript code for it.

“javascript:document.body.contentEditable=’true’; document.designMode=’on’; void 0″

Type this in ur URL and start Editing anything including your Karma. Thanks to Rohan Pinto for the code.

Want to get Higher Karma in Plurk.com here is a small javascript hack!

Note: Its just a fun way to edit the design of plurk. You can not really edit your Karma

Use Emoticons or Smileys as you Like and forget Karma

This really works and is quite lame but is good if you really feel like using those special emoticons. If you like the dancing Banana Type this url
http://www.plurk.com/static/emoticons/silver/dance.gif
and plurk it. You would see dancing banana :D. Similarly for other emoticons just right click on them and say view image. You get the Url and then simply plurk the url to see the emoticon.  To get the real feel of plurking you got to plurk more dear plurkers. Enjoy Plurking.

If you are new to Plurk, JOIN PLURK

This is a simple excel Tip on how to hide a worksheet and how to unhide it.

  • Goto the Sheet you want to hide. Then from Menu choose Format -> Sheet -> Hide

Hide a Worksheet in Excel

The Sheet 1 would be now Hidden. To unhide it, you need to again goto Format -> Sheet -> unhide. When you click on unhide you would be asked which sheet to unhide from a list of hidden sheet (incase you have opted to hide many sheets,in our case only sheet1 is hidden).

You can see in the above picture that there is no Sheet1. Sheet 2 is only shown as sheet is hidden.

From the above popup select the sheet to unhide and Press Ok. Sheet 1 would be back Visible again.
