How to Hide/Unhide a worksheet in Excel

This is a simple excel Tip on how to hide a worksheet and how to unhide it.

• Goto the Sheet you want to hide. Then from Menu choose Format -> Sheet -> Hide

The Sheet 1 would be now Hidden. To unhide it, you need to again goto Format -> Sheet -> unhide. When you click on unhide you would be asked which sheet to unhide from a list of hidden sheet (incase you have opted to hide many sheets,in our case only sheet1 is hidden).

You can see in the above picture that there is no Sheet1. Sheet 2 is only shown as sheet is hidden.

From the above popup select the sheet to unhide and Press Ok. Sheet 1 would be back Visible again.

Resetting your Profile Password in OnlineSBI.com

If you are an online banking customer with sbi (OnlineSbi), an in case you might have forgotten your profile password. At first go it might seem it to be a pain to reset your profile password as you may have to go to the branch where your account is and then submit the form along with the “Reset request Number”. What a long procedure. Actually things can be done by means of a phone call.

Things can be done in much a simpler way!

• Click on the forgot password
• Reset the password. Generate the request number which starts with “P”.
• Call up your Branch and give them the “P” Number
• Get the Thumbs up from them
• Login next time, you will be asked to choose your new password.

Increase the Number of Simultaneous Downloads in Firefox

Firefox by default allows only two downloads at the same time from a server. If you got to download more than to files from the same server in firefox. Here is a quick fix to this.

1. Open Firefox
2. Type about:config in the address bar.
3. Search for network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server by entering this in the filter field.
4. By default the value of this field would be set to 2, double click and set this digit to a  number of your choice and less than 10 to increase the number of simultaneous download in firefox.

If you have ever faced with an error ” Run-time error ‘1004′ - Programmatic access to Visual Basic Project is not trusted “. You need to follow these below steps to overcome this

1. Open Excel
2. Goto Tools -> Macros ->Secruity
3. In the Security Window Choose Trusted Publisher Tab
4. Click Trust Access to Visual basic Project
5. Click OK.

How to Remove BBB8 - GyselleOrkut Virus from scrapping

Lot of People have come across the Orkut virus(see screen shot) BBB8 - Gyselle Muito Boaaa with a youtube Video Image (many mistake it to be a video) which keeps sending scrapsto your friends whenever you log in. I have seen people doing nothing to prevent this and everytime they log in i keep getting this scrap from them. Its annoying!. I did some research and finally decided to put this in a post so that it would be useful to some people atleast.

How to Recover or Remove the Virus and get back to normal Orkut Login 

• Remove the infected scrap and stay off your account for 6 hours plus.
