The Mascot has been named Zakumi. The first two letters “ZA” stands for South Africas  and “Kumi” means 10 in assorted African Languages.

Zakumi is the Green haired leopard. Andries Odendaal, from Cape Town, created the mascot. Zakumi’s birth year has been selected as 1994, the same year of democracy returned to our country.

The White and Green Dress of Zakumi has been designed by Cora Simpson.

Euro 2008 finals, Germany vs SpainAccording to German Coach Joachim Loew “Germans know only to Win” and they are pretty confident of a win. Germans have seen enough finals and have the better edge than Spain. They would be looking forward for their fourth Euro Cup Win. Spain on the other hand will be looking forward to win a title after a gap of 44 years.

Injury to Ballack may worry the Germans and its not certain whether he would be playing in the finals.
