Celebrities are a part an Parcel of IPL. They are the glamor quotient to the game of cricket and every single IPL team has a celebrity attached to it. The question now is Who will be the Celebrity Brand Ambassador of the Kochi IPL team?
Three names that are prominent to be the Brand Ambassador of the Kochi team are
- Asin Thottumkal
- Vidya Balan
- John Abraham
Currently its not clear as to who will be cheering for Kochi IPL team and bringing in that glamor quotient, or whether all three will endorse Kochi team, as all three have some “Malayalee connection”.

The big question lies in the fact whether Kochi can be one of the new two teams allotted for IPL 2011. With Mohanlal and priyadarshan moving out of the race and the new bids been issued, and the fact that Ahmedabad and nagpur are the major competitors, Can Kochi really have a IPL 2010 team?

- Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan, the owner of EPL side Manchester City.

Even though Kochi has the money to buy IPL Teams, WE will have to wait till March 22nd to know whether Kochi (Kerala) will really have a dream IPL TEAM.

I visited the thripunithura Sree Poornathrayeesa Temple last week as a part of the Vrishchikoltsawam Festival which happens every year for around 8 days. The Festival is held every year in the month of November – December.
Being in cochin for a long time i have never heard (to be honest) of the events in the Thripunithura temple (yea i have heard about the Onam celebrations here). I had decided to go to Thripunithura to meet some people who where coming down to cochin.
I reached the temple with two of my friends and was shocked to see the crowd. I must say its a Big Event. We waited there for the rest of the gang to join in. They where around 20 of us in total with 7 foreigners. We had our dinner from one of the hotels near by and then headed inside the temple.
There where around 10 elephants inside the temple and it was followed by Percussion. During the festival time there would be Cultural shows. Some of the main art forms like Kathakali, Chakyarkoothu, Ottamthullal etc are performed during this time. You can also check out how the kathakali artists do their make up. It was a first time experience for me seeing a live festival.
To enter Temple you need to remove your chappals. Do not give your chappals to road side keepers. Near to the temple Gate entrance there is a official Shoes/Chappal Keeper Room.
We watched Kathakali till 1am and headed back home as we had to leave for Thekkady the next day.

Executive Events (an Event management Company) presents for the first time a DJ competition in Kerala. The Competition titled “DJ War Kerala”. This is something new that is happening in Cochin which is not used to Partying and DJ’in as compared to other cities.
