I was totally shocked to read about the death of the 19 year old Ishmeet Singh death. The Punjabi guy shot to fame after winning the Amul Star Voice of India (VOI) contest hosted by Star Plus.

How Ishmeet Singh Died?

Ishmeet was touring in Maldives with fellow Star Voice of India contestants Sumitra and Vyom for a concert that was to be held on August 1, 2008.Ishmeet was staying at Chaaya Island Dhonveli resort. He did not know how to swim and he hit the Deep end of the pool there and drowned. He was warned by his friend not to hit the Deep side of the pool.

Mysteries do surround the unnatural death of ishmeet in the minds of people. Its quite strange that when he was drowning nobody tried to rescue him(even the hotel staff or his friends?). Maldives is supposed to be famous for safety and a good hotel dint have safety precautions? We do not have any clear information of his death, the people who where with him in the pool in his last moments. Did he die in the pool?Or did he die in the hospital? Was first Aid given? lots of questions and no anwers.

The whole of Punjab and India is shocked over his death. The Talent which dint last long enough to entertain the people. For sure he would be in the mind of people and Ishmeet may your soul rest in Peace!

Parvathy Omanakuttan from Kerala is Femina Miss India 2008

Parvathy Omankuttan from kerala was crowned Femina Miss India world 2008 at Mumbai. She is the First Keralite to win this Title. Simran Kaur Mundi of Mumbai was crowned Miss India Universe 2008 and Harshita Saxena of Goa was declared Miss India Earth.

The winners where selected from 28 finalists and the show was judged by personalities from the world of fashion and bollywood.

Parvathy Omanakuttan hails from Kottayam district in Kerala. Twenty years of age and with a smashing 32-27-36 vital statistics and stands 5′ 8.5″ tall.

To the question “The rate of divorce in India is on a rise. What is the cause? Is western influence the cause or something else?” Parvathy gave the best reply and it goes “Divorces are not a result of western influence. Annie (Mahiya Fame) The Pakistani Singer Profile

Who dosent know Annie, The Pakistani Pop singer who with her one song Mahiya took our hearts away! it’s been months since i did a post on her. So here goes some background information about the sensational Mahiya Annie

Born On : 1987
Place : Lahore, Punjab , Pakistan

When she was six months old her parents moved to East London, England. During a summer vacation in Pakistan while she was 15 years old, Annie met famous pop singer Abrar-ul-Haq. Abrar who invited her to open his charity concert show in Sargodha, which she accepted. After singing Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” infront of thousands of people, Annie was inspired to pursue a music career.

Her parents supported her and arranged for an ustad(music teacher) to give her vocal and harmonium lessons.

As Annie is becoming increasingly popular in Pakistan, she has moved back to Lahore. She is performing at music shows and record companies from both Pakistan and India have been calling her. She toured the USA with Rhythm Dhol Bass and Atif Aslam. RDB also helped remix her song “Mahiya”.

Annie got popular in India with the song “Mahiya” which was also the soundtrack song of the movie Awarapan.
