Bangalore Cant dance - Live Music and dancing is banned in Bangalore

Bangaloreans cant shake their legs anymore. The Moral Police in Bangalore has banned Live music, Loud Music and discos/Dancing in Bangalore, known to be the pub capital of India. Bangaloreans known for their work hard and party hard attitude are shaken by this move by the Karnataka Police.

The angry bangaloreans staged a protest in Cubbon park against the banning of dancing and live music in Bangalore. Prasad Bidappa, the bangalore based fashion designer termed this act as the Talibanization of Bangalore.

You can drink, but you cant dance! This is gross!, says the people of bangalore.

It’s time for Elections in Bangalore,Karnataka Get your Voters ID Card!

Well it’s time for elections in Bangalore. Today i went to have a tea from “ikkas” T-shop and i could see a huge crowd of people. Initially i thought some fight and later i realised that they are preparing the voters list for our area. Those bunch of guys are from a Politcal party (I’m not sure which). So i decided to digg up some information on Karnataka Elections.

A total of 224 seats are there and polling will take place in three phases starting May 10 and on May 16 and May 22, 2008. The Karnataka Election results (Vote counting) will be declared on May 25, 2008.

There are a total of  40,077,666 voters and 39758 polling stations would be set up for the karnataka elections. The count of Female Voters in Karnataka is 19,678,328 compared to Males which is 20,399,338.

The Major Political Parties in the Karnataka Elections are

• Congress
• BJP
• JD(S)
• BSP
• Lok Parivarthan(its a new entrant and a party formed by the IIT’ians).

Bangalore Traffic Police Park in St Marks Road

I have never heard about the Bangalore Traffic Police Park untill last week, when the blogaloreans decided to meet in this venue for a quick wrap on the proceedings of Blogathon India.

The Bangalore Traffic Park is in St Marks road, near State Bank of India circle, opposite to a Petrol Bunk u find in this circle. This park is very calm and it has got some childrens play area. It does have some dummy signals and sign boards to educate children on the traffic rules.

Below are some pics from the Bangalore Traffic Police Park. This park does have a small Amphi Theatre good enuf to accomodate less than 100 people and can be used for small get togethers (like the one we had).

Kallada Travels Madiwala : Bangalore to Cochin

It’s been long since i travelled in Kallada travels. Ive been always using either Raj travels,Shama or G4 to come to cochin from bangalore. This time around i did not get ticket in any other bus and some how managed to get a ticket in Kallada Travels Volvo Bus from Bangalore to Cochin at 9.45 PM.

It was amazing to see a 9.45 bus come to the boarding point at 9.30 PM. The bus left exactly on time and reached bommanahalli for another pickup and from there it started by 10PM sharp. The most exciting part was that, the bus reached Valayar checkpost by 4.15am and Thrissur by 6.15am. WOW!!!

I was in Kalamassery by 7.30 AM. What a Super fast!!!! Running Time of 9.30 Hours only!!! Amazing….Thanks to almighty for not wasting my time and ofcourse thanks to Kallada travels Madiwala.
