Vijays Tamil Movie Villu Review

I am a diehard Vijay Fan but VIllu is disappointing. The movie is so utterly boring. Vijay is the son of a Soldier in Indian army who got killed and was labelled a “Raja Drohi”. The whole story is about the revenge.
Vadivelu is just fit in just to create comedy and the impact is very less and it looks genuine. The movie’s lots of parts are copied from everywhere.
- The song Jalsa is copied from Telugu Movie Jalsa.
- The Cow Fight scene is copied from a youtube video
- Some songs do sound like popular hindi songs.
- There is no usual vijay style dialouges
Vijay has danced so well in the movie with quite a few of awsome steps. The movie has got songs coming up every 10 minutes or less. Nayantara has done a good body show and one liplock and lots of cheek kisses ( I guess good enough for the 1 crore she charges).
Sad that Prabudeva and Vijay magic dint like “Pokiri”. The comments i heard watching was pretty funny during the movie (which i dont wanna blog it). The songs also dosent have any punch!
Do not waste money on the movie. If you are a nayantara fan Yes my dear reader you have something in this movie! So watch it for Nayantara!

Review :
After Pokkiri, Prabhu Deva and Vijay are back with ‘Villu’ a ‘Power pack Pongal’ for Vijay Fans. Vijay Fans in USA are thrilled to taste the feast two days prior to release in India. After two not so good movies such as ATM and Kuruvi, Vijay is back in form. As a rigid formula everyone in the theatre expect only a Mass entertainer from ‘Pugazh’-Vijay, and Prabhu Deva has done his best to maintain all the elements needed to give a complete Vijay movie - with super hero intro, romance ,comedy, several fights, item songs and finally hero wins over the baddies.
Story:
Hero Pugazh (Vijay) is introduced as a local area super hero who is the savior of poor and the needy. He acts as a Villu (arrow) of a senior Police officer Manoj K Jain and follows his instructions secretly. In his mission he targets international Dadas and as a part of the mission he makes love to Jhanvi (Nayantara), who as expected is the Main Dada Prakash Raj’s daughter. Who is Pughazh and why is he back of these dadas is revealed slowly following a flash back in the second half. Director has succeeded in keeping the suspense till the end. Though there are logical flaws here and there, story falls in place.
First half rocks the theater and major credit goes to Vaigai puyal Vadivelu. He tickles us every time he appears on the screen and especially his Nakka Mukka dance in front of Swiss Police is highly comical. Only Kids can enjoy his fight with the graphic cow. Nayanthara chills the screen now and then, its high time she start doing something than a regular heroine shouting at the hero and showing recession in costumes. She is the same in all her recent movies. Mam try to act for a change!
Devi Sri Prasad rocks the floor in ‘Jalsa’ and ‘Nee Kova Pattal’ is nice to hear and to see. He could have worked more on BGM as they don’t sync with the movie, rather sounds too bold at unwanted places. ‘Vaada Maapla’ and item song ‘Daddy Mummy’ is gonna be sizzling in channels for the following days for sure. ‘Dheem Thanana Thillana’ is a good dance number and ‘Rama Rama’ is a typical Vijay intro song meant to bring out josh in his fans, Prabhu Deva shows his mark in all songs and Vijay has proved that he is no less a dancer than the director. Kudos to the Choreographers! Kushboo and Prabhu Deva’s special appearance in the song adds spice. Villian Prakash Raj fails to impress and has been wasted.
Ravi Varman’s Camera has beautifully captured Zurich in songs and fight sequences are amazing. Prabhu Deva has brilliantly capitalized the talents of Ravi. Only one or two dialogues like ‘Enakku pottukudukka theriyadhu, Poda thaan theriyum’ pin the mind while others fly no where.
Analysis:
Villu has an entertaining first half, flash back in the second half is totally hindi ‘Soldier’ with added Tamil senti facts. Major Vijay, logic less Blue Ray Disc sequences, Drunk Nayanthara and no different villain Prakash Raj make the movie lag. Vijay imitates Superstar in some scenes which look very obvious and repetitive. Hero Vijay, song sequences, Cinematography and Vadivelu make ‘Villu’ a pretty good entertainer.

Friends actually Iam not a die hard fan of vijay…I thought vijay was going to have hatrick flop but I watched the movie today and it was very much entertaining…the first half was very funny..and the second withh quite a few twists etc…All over I liked it and I hope u will feel the same…

Movie is so Boring, I was waiting for the interval and second half still the same. I was expecting good finish at least but climax is total comedy. If you’re a die hard fan of Vijay, you can see the movie and you will also die in the end

Sujith’s view is right, it might be a hatrick flop. These heroes work on formulas without any efforts, wasting our time & money. We average cine fan go in some expectation that this film will be better than previous one. What to do?

This is boje from banglaore, basic i am telugu guy but i watch tamil movies,
because i am great fan of vikram and surya, I think vijaya is not thinking about
his feature, he film’s will full comedy, when he remade both telgu moves of
SuperStar Price Mahesh Babu both, the movie was Okkadu which was remade
as GILLIE and the film Pokire both the Telugu films made box office shake,
I saw Gillie it was really waste he had made the movie Comedy type,
no serious action and then i saw his Pokire which was a biggest
block buster of Telugu film Industry, and this had broke the
Record of 75 year’s of Telugu film industry and it stood 2nd big
In INDIAN MOVIES, and even he remade this and he made a comedy
type and his latest movie VILLU its utterflop, pls vijaya fans
do’t watch the movie this is not my order or rule, just its my request.

hi.. viewers… if u dont like this film.. surely u didnt accept Rajini is a superstar…. vijay is also following the same what’s worng in this.. he acheived also.. Villu, a below average movie. He NEVER can’t be replacing the legend Rajini. If Vijay continue acting like this in future movies, only Simbu will remain as his competition. Both are completely out of mind with respect to acting. Only focus is on with punch dialogues and hyper-heroism.
Vijay please learn acting, With your experience in industry you should work for few challenging mature character roles or at least display innovation in your masala movies to rope in the audience.
Bottom line, A genuine actor should perform variety of roles. Too much of masala always results in farting.

Vijay’s movies suck. I broke one of my new year’s resolution of ” never to watch a Vijay movie again in my life” to watch this worst movie of all time “Villu”. My only question is what is Vijay thinking in his mind. He can never come near Rajini. He can never be a good actor forget about becoming a super star. My only advise to Vijay is to forget competing with Ajith and really concentrate on your acting. You dont show any expressions in your face. Please note that i am not an Ajith fan either. I hate them both. Vijay please get rid of your head weight, you are not GOD but just another human being. Stop acting like a retarded. we are not fools watching you on TV.

hi vijay!
i watch your film villu yesterday. this movie was good , but not super!
the good things were the songs, the comedey of vadivelu. the first part of the movie was really super, but then the movie was a bit too serious and i wasn’t so happy with the ending, because vadivelu and nayanthara weren’t there. i won’t say that villu is the worst like other.
i will say it wasn’t so good like pokiri or sivakasi etc. but i’m still your fan and will it be. i’m sure that your next movies will be hits again.
and you schould give another movie with prabhudeva, asin, vadivelu , prakashraj to show that villu is the only flop. and i wish all the best for your next movies!
