Go to HISTORY>Click on > EDIT ITEMS. VOILA!Done. I have just tried it and it works like a charm. You don’t have to delete ALL the browsing history, so before you insist on keeping racking your brains and searching for other solutions – try this one.

Actually, Chrome does allow you to delete it. When you mouse over the thumbnail of the page you don’t want displayed, there is an x in the top right corner of it. Clicking that blocks it from your Most Visited sites.

You can remove the most visited sites by using user Scripts. You need not delete any browsing history or install any software. The guide is given below:

This will entirely remove the Most visited site from New tab and home page.

you can actually delete one or more most visited links using a 3rd party tool that can be downloaded from:

but can we configure it in such a way that our chrome most visited page show certain pages or is this an automatic thing!

This and the lack of plugin support are the only two reasons I can’t get rid of firefox or opera. I think opera’s ability to let you choose what sites are on the new tab page is great, but a combination of the most-visited and thumbnailed-bookmarks grid views would be pretty neat.
