Removing websites from Most Visited Pages in Chrome
Posted by on 4th, 2008
Chrome is very good and rich in features as far as im concerned except it dosent have plugins. I browse so many websites and one problem i came across is that the ones i visit quite often, Chrome shows thumbnail of it in the most visited page or when you open chrome. I really dont want some websites to appear in those list.
Chrome does not let you delete or remove one website from the most visited page instead you should clear the entire browsing history to remove the websites from most visited page.
Clearing the Browsing Data in Chrome
- Click the drop down next to Tool button on the right side of the chrome
- Select Clear Browsing data
- A new pop up window will come. Tick the Clear browsing history options and click on the clear browsing history button
- You can clear Data for the last day or choose to delete entire data or last weeks data.
I hope there comes out a way to remove a single website from the most viewed websites page in chrome

This and the lack of plugin support are the only two reasons I can’t get rid of firefox or opera. I think opera’s ability to let you choose what sites are on the new tab page is great, but a combination of the most-visited and thumbnailed-bookmarks grid views would be pretty neat.

you can actually delete one or more most visited links using a 3rd party tool that can be downloaded from:

You can remove the most visited sites by using user Scripts. You need not delete any browsing history or install any software. The guide is given below:

This will entirely remove the Most visited site from New tab and home page.
