Biswamohan Pani (33) an IIT graduate and hailing from Bhubaneswar is caught in a trade secret wrange between Intel and AMD.
The FBI has charged Biswamohan who was working in US with Intel till May of stealing trade secrets after he joined AMD. Biswamohan joined AMD in June and his house was then searched by the FBI. FBI allegedly found 100 sensitive Intel documents including a few design plans for processor chips in his possession.
Biswamohan says that his wife being a intel employee, he had the documents with him to transfer to his wife for reference. His elderly parents back home in India have little clue of the incidents and they are hoping to see him back soon. Meanwhile he surrendered his passport to US authorities.
His fate now depends on the Trial.

the fight between an ant and an elephant. so nothing to see. this is not at all a good piece to watch. first of all big corporate people should be technically prohibited to restrict the transfer of datas. here the access of network through his password is the main trap which the little one could not understand. employment of her wife in research wing was the first step to trap. as they failed to negotiate properly boy was determined to quit. but unable to work out his plan.

There is no “Wrangle” between Intel and AMD. Mr. Pani stole a billion dollars worth of chip designs from Intel after he had left the company and joined AMD. As per FBI AMD was not aware of the theft by Mr. Pani. He will likely be convicted of crime which could carry up to 20 years of time. He will be deported back to India after serving his time in prison. He has brought shame to both IIT and also all Indians in the US. I am surprised that his dad is screaming that his son is innocent. Unfortunately stealing material electronically leaves a trail and no witnesses are needed. it is an open and shut case of grand heist of a billion dollars.

I hail from Bhubaneswar, Orissa and is shocked to read the news. Pani has blackened the face of his state and IIT(B) with his act.
