Should Naveen Ningappa be Freed of paedophilia charges?
Naveen Ningappa, 28 years was arrested in the US on paedophilia charges and has been serving his prison sentence in a Pennsylvania jail for the past 9 months. Naveen ningappa hails from Chitradurga, Karnataka.
The Story
He met a 12 year girl online and chatted with her. She tempted him to meet her. he postponed the meeting for a week and finally when he left out to meet her, he was arrested at the meeting place. The 12 year girl he was chatting was a undercover detective agent who was in the look out for people who are patrolling the internet to find children. Naveen has sent four letters home and in all he claims he is innocent and he is being framed. It is believed from the US side of the story that he carried condoms and Gifts along with him.
Does he deserve Mercy?
The big question is should be be freed? Should the Indian government interfere? He actually never met her nor did he have sex with her. It can be true that his intentions may not be true, but it was mentioned that he was tempted by the girl itself into meeting her. He may have fallen for this “tempting”.
Well i would say let’s not make things complicated. The Indian side of the story and the US side of the story differs on the intentions of Naveen Ningappa. The only thing we can say his he has already served 9 months in jail. Now please deport him to India. Let him get a life!

ya, let him get a life and continue pursueing minors as his past-time. Please read up a little on the discussion going on about this topic on plenty of websites, you will discover that he was NOT tempted, he actively pursued this ‘12-year old’ inspite of being told off clearly. His case was transfered to perverted justice.com, which accepted his arrangement of meeting. he was found to carry gifts and condoms on his trip to the girls house. Had this been in India, I am sure you would not have supported ningappa so much.

Yea i did read some discussions and i did mention in the post both sides of the story. We got his punishment! we was caught for his wrong intentions and defamed. The world now knows that naveen ningappa is a paedophile. He can be a changed man now? The family has given complaints to Karnataka ministers to get him back to india

The NBC Dateline show regularly shows older men trying to meet minor girls and boys. In the US (and internationally too), showing intent of crime is enough for conviction; especially when applied to this sort of a crime. This person’s chat transcript, the fact that he showed up at the “meeting place” and the fact that he was carrying gifts and condoms show intent. One of the Indians who was earlier arrested jumped bail and fled the country, now I guess they will be more strict and ask for a larger bail bond. Most Indians fail to understand that intent to commit a crime also carries punishment; they argue that he never committed a crime. Well, what would have Mr Naveen done if he had actually come in contact with that girl? Think about that first. The chat transcript will clearly show what he wanted to do.

This Navin Ningappa guy must have probably been dreaming about having sex before arriving in the US and he thought he hit the jackpot with the 12 year old girl. Poor little fool! he is now quite out of libido languishing in jail and eating veggie food. How did he get so much of libido with veggie food. Anyways, his family knows how they have a pedophile in the family. I am sure they filmed it all just like Dateline’s “To Catch a Predator” (my favourite show especially when Indian techie’s are caught). Their holier than thou attitude is exposed for all the world to see. You must hear the Indians say “we are not like this, we are not like that” and then some of them are chatting and soliciting 12 year olds over the net. Lordie Lordie. Well he should have stayed home in his little village in Karnataka. Too bad so sad.

An American married mother of three sobbed in the Bendigo County Court today as she was sentenced to 16 months’ jail for having sex with a 15-year-old boy she met online.

But Barbara Case, 36, will walk free and could return to her home in Virginia immediately after the sentence was suspended for two years.
Case, who will be registered as a serious sex offender for the rest of her life, was warned that if she committed further offences, she would have to serve that time.
Speaking outside the court today, Case said it had been hard to be away from her children.
Her lawyer, Megan Aumair, told the waiting media that Case was “incredibly relieved”.
“She wants to put it all behind her now,” she said. The pair hugged inside court after Case was sentenced.
The Virginian woman flew half-way around the world to meet the boy in May this year.
Ms Aumair told the court she would be contacting the United States embassy to arrange Case’s return.
Earlier, the court was told that Case may face criminal charges in the US. Case’s husband Phillip declined to comment when contacted.
Speaking from his home last month, he said his wife had never been in trouble before, and that she was a “quiet woman”.
“I knew she had a friend in Australia.
“I thought they were friends. Someone she could talk to and help her,” he said.
Pleading guilty to two charges of sexual penetration of a child under the age of 16, the court heard Case met the boy through an online game called Runescape on Christmas Day last year.
“You knew he was 15, and you corresponded regularly,” Judge Tim Wood said.
In May, Case flew to Australia to meet the boy.
They spent their first night together in a holiday park cabin in Bendigo.
For the following 11 days, the pair had intercourse on eight occasions and engaged in oral sex three times.
They were caught when the boy’s parents became concerned and contacted police.
Judge Wood said Case had been suicidal and suffered from postnatal depression following the birth of her third child in 1999.
He said Case was unlikely to re-offend.
“You understand your conduct was inexcusable and morally wrong,” he said.

Ms.Vilma, with all due respects, your comment seems so childish. Your words express contempt for Indian Techies, you talk as if a couple of those techies rejected you. I have alot of close friends in Indian community, their culture is definitely better than the values we hold dear. Just that their values do not fit in to our society and social circles, some of them clearly get confused and veer away in the hope of satisfying their lust. I firmly believe you are not in a position to analyze it from a neutral stand. Come away from your biased view and look at it from other angles, you may perceive it differently. In my view, this fella should have been released with a minimal sentence and warning against committing further such crimes.

I hope Naveen Ningappa is enjoying his veggie food in jail. I still say that Dateline’s To catch a predator is my all time favourite show, just to see the look on their faces when they are caught. Being an Indian born person, I enjoy even more the Indians caught on tape because their self-righteous is all exposed. In any case, they should keep him in a while longer (to enjoy jail veggie food) and then deport him so that he can prowl about in his native village. I rest my case.

One more thing, my husband says, once Naveen Ningappa serves his jail sentence, he should be deported to India, and his parents should arrange his child marriage with a 12 year old girl.
