Stop at two or Pay the Fine! – Kerala inspired by Chineese?

Posted by admin on 30th, 2008

Going through the report that Kerala plans to fine Couples for having a Third kid is just another insane communist reform which is infact in the planning. The Kerala Family planning and Control Bill is counting on this measure to control the increasing Population.

I feel this is just a insane rule on the lines of China. People are wise enough to decide how many kids they want and know the preventive or precautionary measure to prevent pregnancy . They dont need a rule to stop, afterall mothers are not just “Production houses”.

Clause 7 of the Bill reads, “No person or institution shall use religion, region, sect, caste, cult or other inducements for production of more children than permitted.” Once the law comes into force, “Any person or a public organization or institution associated with or carrying on the work of family planning and birth control” may approach a court against those found violating the provisions.

Kerala Government need to apply more logic to the bills. These bills would definitely stirr the sentiments of religions [i bet!] and cause opposition party’s hartal and bandh?

Common VS instead letz try building a strong economy instead. Letz build roads, create more jobs and find ways to feed the increasing population. Letz leave it to the couples to decide how many kids they want. Those who can afford more let them have! after all its a god’s gift!

      Totally agree with u on that. I don’t know what is driving them to behave so immaturely when they already have enough pressing issues in their hands to deal with. It seems they are not ready to learn from their past mistakes and in the process the poor people of Kerala are forced to suffer.

      I feel it’ll prove one of the Best Laws to be put into effect at the soonest, not only for Kerala but for the whole of India. I mean look at our population today….do u think there is any other way to stop such people from blindly adding up to it??? I think all should & ‘must’ follow the 2 children rule & if possible 1 child per couple only, till we manage to provide a good life [food shelter and education] to our existing population.

      Arent we grown enough to take a decision on how much kids we should have? Majority of the couples take that decision considering their financial situation also. Now imposing rules such this can lead to lotsa girl child abortions,as couples would end up preferring a male child whom they feel will look after them when old? What say?? Do we need rules? Letz give education! Let give knowledge…..Rules! they create more confusion n hatred!

      @SV,

      How could u pass such outrageous comments??? The communists should go back to the place they belong to: the grave. They have no right to dictate terms when they have time and again proved their inefficiency. First let them do something for Kerala, then let them think of this. The govts responsibility is to find solutions to the problems of the people, that doesnt include removing mankind from the country…..
