Plurk is going to make it large than Twitter

Plurk.com is launched at the right time when Twitter is experiencing problems with IM, which has annoyed millions of Twitter addicts who where reported to be suffering from twittofenia (a rare disorder which happens when a person cannot sent or read tweets which leads to frustration, anger and other mental problems).

Plurk.com the initial thought to me was that it something like Twitter. The race to sign up my name in each and every new website that is been launched made me signup right there when i heard about Plurk.com. I signed up and then it was today i happen to get time explore Plurk. Awsome it is and Im addicted to it in a day!

What’s is Plurk?

According to the Plurk.com team it is “A really snazzy site that allows you to showcase the events that make up your life in deliciously digestible chunks. Low in fat, 5 calories per serving, yet chock full of goodness “…….Crap

According to me it is just another microblogging website where in you Tweet aka post your 140 character long thoughts or you share links, videos AKA do the same stuffs that you do in Twitter. Plurk I feel is a bit more organized.

 What will make Plurk a HIT?

1. Downtime of Twitter
2. Nice layouts where your Plurks (your posts) gets displayed in timeline. I find it extremely useful as i know when was the plurk been posted.
3. Plurks and Plurk responses are distinguished. A very good option. You can really keep track of how many Plurks and how many responses you have given.
4. Threaded Responses. You can respond to a Plurk and there is no chance of your response getting lost. Lost in the sense without a reply.
5. Karma, You have to be active everyday to attain or maintain Karma rating. Which can make people addicted to attain larger karma and get into the list of interesting plurkers. See below for a screen shot of Karma
   
6. Emoticons and stuff which you can get only if u attain higher karma levels can make people plurk more.
7. You can Plurk from web(which is the best) and also from IM’s and also by text messages.
8. Clique - Basically a group where you can share things in common. A feature which would turn handy for people who are looking for Diggs and Stumbles.
9. Privacy setting - you can Limit your plurks to Private.

I just cant think of any more stuff, But im sure plurk is the next big thing in the making.

I have not used the IM option much, i am really lost on how to use plurk using the IM.
