Parvathy Omanakuttan from Kerala is Femina Miss India 2008
Parvathy Omankuttan from kerala was crowned Femina Miss India world 2008 at Mumbai. She is the First Keralite to win this Title. Simran Kaur Mundi of Mumbai was crowned Miss India Universe 2008 and Harshita Saxena of Goa was declared Miss India Earth.
The winners where selected from 28 finalists and the show was judged by personalities from the world of fashion and bollywood.
Parvathy Omanakuttan hails from Kottayam district in Kerala. Twenty years of age and with a smashing 32-27-36 vital statistics and stands 5′ 8.5″ tall.
To the question “The rate of divorce in India is on a rise. What is the cause? Is western influence the cause or something else?” Parvathy gave the best reply and it goes “Divorces are not a result of western influence. At the end of the day, it is we who decide whose (sic) worth us. Marriage is not when one completes the other but is when both share their completeness.”
Parvathy wasalso crowned Navy Queen 2006 at a contest held at the Southern Naval Command in connection with the annual Navy Ball.

Parvathi deserves the honour for her confidence and poise. Her reply to that general question in that spur of a moment left everyone spellbound. “Divorces are not a result of western influence. Guys just for the record. She is not the first Keralite to win this Title..I was wrong in posting that. Annie Thomas had Won this Title in 1998.
