Know your Visitor
Although I look through the number of visitors i get, the keywords that bring me traffic and the top performing posts in Just A Scrap, I never bothered to analyze about my Visitors. Today I just decided to analyze the background of my visitor and i was shocked to see 92% of my Visitors are on Windows operating System and only 3 % are using Linux and another intresting fact was that .2% of my traffic was from iPhone Users(wow thatz a good mark considering the fact that iPhone has been released just under a year and compared to the large share of Windows).
Now coming to the Intresting part of which browser my Visitor uses, thatz not too much of a surprise as IE would top for sure. The share of IE is 52%, Firefox +Mozilla together have a 41% share. Intrestingly .05% of the traffic was using Netscape. I just digged more on IE to find that over 65% of my Visitor(out of 52% ) are still using Inter Explorer 6.0 and 35% on IE 7.0. JAS latest version does have some css problems in IE 6.0 with sidebars.So i just made out i need to fix that somehow as half of the traffic could not see some things on my right side bar. Thatz a Good reason why i should put in more time right??
Over 50% where using 1024 x 768 resolution and finally Majority of the traffic to JAS is from India(which im happy as i concentrate more on the Indian crowds in my posts).
