How to Remove BBB8 - GyselleOrkut Virus from scrapping
Lot of People have come across the Orkut virus(see screen shot) BBB8 - Gyselle Muito Boaaa with a youtube Video Image (many mistake it to be a video) which keeps sending scrapsto your friends whenever you log in. I have seen people doing nothing to prevent this and everytime they log in i keep getting this scrap from them. Its annoying!. I did some research and finally decided to put this in a post so that it would be useful to some people atleast.
How to Prevent getting Infected from this orkut Virus
The rule is simple and plain Do not Click on any other language scraps or suspecious Link.
How to Recover or Remove the Virus and get back to normal Orkut Login
- Remove the infected scrap and stay off your account for 6 hours plus.
- Change your Google account Password and login again to orkut.
- Scan your system for viruses.
- Scan your system for Spyware [Spybot and CWShredder]
- Scan your system for Adwares [Ad-Aware ]
- Delete your temporary files and cookies
Finally never run any javascripts that keep circulating in the scrap books,they call in remove Javascript files which can access your login information and you eventually end up loosing your orkut account to somebody else.
