Baidu getz censured for Porn!
Baidu China’s top search engine got a censured by the chineese government for spreading explicit photos of Hong Kong Stars. The photos show actor Edison Chen and several female stars performing sex acts or in sensual sexual poses.
They keyword searches and results in baidu helped in spreading the filthy pictures.
Seems like all other search engines in china like sina,sohu etc took measure to prevent the spread. But is it really worth a censor? A search engine should never be banned!!. For a booming online community like Chinas (210 million) which is on the rise, a watch dog to monitor all the online activities would be hard. They can only keep a check on the sites hosted in china and not outside. Porn and sex sells big time!!!
