Is this my kerala??

Ive been seeing and hearing news happenings in kerala that is pretty dis heartening. Malayalees are supposed to be pretty literate(100% literacy!) and they seem to have lost all moral’s and sense these days. Or may be one reason is that they use all their mind only to make money and leave rest of the social values and morals and other stuff’s behind?
Some of the news which Took my attention of in the news in the last month
- Kerala Teacher Makes a 3 year old drink Urine
- A small boy tied to chains along with dog by his own parents
I happened to see this report on Asianet Kannadi and the parents seem to be Care free and with no heart. I hated the way they justified their act. The child has been tortured,hands burned. The way he showed is urge/excitement of seeing good food is pretty heart breaking. I hope the people who are taking care of this boy moulds him into a good person in the future. Let’s pray that all the tortures and stuff wont make him an animal later on in life. - Campus politics in Kottayam Claims a Policeman’s Life
The family of the policeman is the only looser in this. He is survived by 3 young kids and wife. Every political party declared hartal. I wish instead of hartal every party had collected some funds for the dead man’s family so that his wife could raise the kids. Politics in Kerala is horrible. Now seems Karunakaran wants to come back. Karunakaran, pretty aged would definitely love to be back in Congress before he dies. Karunkaran would love to die as a congress man rather than a rebel, atleast he has served the party for long decades.
I really wish to see my kerala group up and be on the top of India. Proud to be a malayalee, but not so proud to hear news like that.
