Sunday Morning i was trouble shooting my desktop Monitor as it started showing troubles. Firstly it had first power related problems as power was not reaching the Monitor. I figured that my cable got burned inside. So i changed my Cable. Now the power is reaching the monitor but then nothing is being displayed in the monitor. I thought the monitor got burned out. I talked with my hardware friend and he asked me to Unplug the cable which connects to the monitor to the cpu and see if there is some no signal box floating around the monitor screen. When i unplugged it, It did show the No signal or cable not connected symbol floating in my monitor. If nothing is getting displayed, then it means your monitor is in trouble.
Now the question was why wasnt anything getting displayed on the screen. I removed my CPU and just pressed all the components inside the CPU and then plugged the cable back and voila the screen came.
How to save power for your Monitor
- When you are not using your monitor,Switch it Off.
- In power Management Options in Control Panel. Choose to switch off screen after 5 or 10 minutes of Inactivity.
- Reduce the screen brightness to the readable level. Reducing Screen Brightness can save Electricity/Power.You screen size also decides the power. More the screen size more the power consumed

October 6th 2007 for the first time in my life i run a Marathon along with thousands of other people. It was a short marathon run but the experience was pretty good.
My company had organized a marathon run just to keep up the spirit ;-). When i saw the mail that such a thing is happening i had no seconds thoughts and i decided to register(though a free T-shirt was also a catch for people who register). Today i had to get up at 5am in the morning(omg! i got up) and catch the bus to the place where the marathon was to start. I wore a jeans and a T-shirt considering the fact that the return is only at 10am and i dont want myself to be dressed up in “Burmuda” or short pants. When i got to the stop everyone was in short pants or tracks and I was the only one with jeans. The kinda looks these people gave….aaah cant express how i felt. I then thought why should i care about what people think. Im here to run and i’ll no matter what i wear.
Bus came on time and i was picked to the company campus where the marathon aka run was to start. I got down collected the T-shirt, wore that and was ready to get going. The short run was to start by 7.30 am only and i already had 45 minutes left, so i looked around the crowd to see some familiar faces. I saw one guy from my project and deecided to stick with him. He was for the long run(10km) and by 7 he was off, so i again looked around and aila found a mallu guy. He was also for short run. The run was flagged off by 7.25 am and we were off. The guy whom i met he just zoomed to the front but i decided to jogg slow. I got really tired even in the 1st KM itself because i was without any exercise for quite a long time.
As the run progressed things where fine and i started enjoying the run though my legs dint like the strain i was giving. It was pretty nice to see pretty old people also running. I completed my run by 7.50 am and thus i have completed my First Ever Marathon RUN.

This is the Story of a Chicken Biriyani without Chicken.
Past and Biriyani eating Habits
My main source of food once i’m away from home always used to be chicken Biriyani mainly because it will reduce my confusion on which curry i should take along with roti / plain rice. If im visiting a hotel for the first time i’ll only start by taking a Biriyani.
When i was new to bangalore i used to have Biriyani for lunch and dinner, Which ofcourse i had to, infact was forced to stop because of minor health issues and concerns from home.
The Special Day
AS usual Saturday’s I am pretty lazy to get out, even to eat. That Special Saturday I got up late and decided not to have my breakfast. By 1.20Pm i couldn’t just resist the song my small stomach sang. I decided to buy my lil tummy a Chicken Biriyani from MASS Hotel Madiwala. I reached there in an Auto from Jakkasandra paying 15 bucks. Since i was alone i did not want to eat it from the hotel(oh i curse that thought of mine) I decided to go for a parcel. I went into the counter and said CB Parcel. CB is Chicken Biriyani and those who love biriyani and hoteliers call it by sweet short form CB. Bell was rung and the waiter came in and the cashier handed over the Slip which had on it " Chicken Biriyani - Rs 60 ".
Hunger and the sight of seeing other happy souls having food made me go mad out there and i waited there patiently for my CB to come. Finally it came inside a plastic takeaway pack. I did not open it, asked them if they had kept pickle to which they said a YES.
I rushed home taking another auto and when i reached and opened it i could find only rice inside. I dug the entire rice pile and I couldn’t even find a small bone at least nor there was any chicken gravy. I couldn’t eat anything and was angry and disappointed like anything. They had fooled me. Hotel people normally do this when you are taking Parcel. Either they give bad and old food as parcel or they do something like this. when you ask them they will tell it as a mistake and will tell you should have come back immediately or will tell next time we will take care. I think Mass should learn that it’s only because it’s a Malayalee restaurant that it’s getting some crowd and there are no other Kerala restaurants in the Madiwala Area.
So next time you decide to get anything Parcel form MASS hotel Madiwala make sure they have not fooled you.

Coolhotmail is Live’s new venture offering free personalized email addresses for Indian youth who always loves a change and welcomes new style statements. Coolhotmail offers you to choose a domain based on Where you live(Bangalore,Delhi, goa), Whom you like (hrithik, srk, kajol), whom you are, what you like and various other domains.
I decided to signup for adheeth [at] bangalorerocks.in to see what coolhotmail has to offer me. I got 5GB of mailbox. It lets me customize the inbox color.
Another interesting thing I noted is that normally when you sign up for email accounts you always get a welcome mail. Bangalorerocks.in never gave me a welcome mail and my mailbox was pretty much empty.
If i decided to go to the site bangalorerocks.in it will automatically redirect me to coolhotmail front page. I can only sign in to bangalorerocks.in from the front page of coolhotmail making it two choices either coolhotmail / bangalorerocks to type in my address bar.
Advertisements are displayed on the top panel. Some flash advertisements do come down, but it’s always nice to watch pretty well made cool flash animation advertisements.
Below you can see Some of the domains Coolhotmail has to offer.
