What is BitTorrent
Im scrapping this for the other half of internet users who does not belong to the downloading community and wants to join the downloading spree(probably after taking an unlimited download internet connection)
About BitTorrent
BitTorrent (BT) is a peer-to-peer (P2P) communications protocol for file sharing. A BitTorrent client is any program which implements the BitTorrent protocol. Each client is capable of preparing, requesting, and transmitting any type of computer file over a network, using the protocol. A peer is any computer running an instance of a client.
To share a file or group of files, a peer first creates a “torrent.” This is a small file which contains metadata about the files to be shared, and about the tracker, the computer that coordinates the file distribution. Peers that want to download the file first obtain a torrent file for it, and connect to the specified tracker which tells them from which other peers to download the pieces of the file.
Why we need BitTorrent Client?
The answer is simple. If you are looking to download some great movies(be it any language),some great mp3(music) or an ebook or a software, well just about anything you can find torrents online.You can dowload the torrents and open then with a client of your choice and download the file/movie/software you want.
Make sure you download healthy(aah not the human kinda health) torrent files ie the torrent files with ample(enuf) seeding(seeding means people who are downloading /downloaded the file and sharing it). If you are downloading you are termed a leecher and as the leeching progresses you will be uploading(sharing).
